About the trip

International Adventures

       Arrive to Kia Airport, then transfer from Kia Airport to the hotel, checking all participants’ gears & equipment by the adventure leader, dinner, and overnight stay.

 

Day2- 2/7:

       Machame Gate to Machame Camp

       Elevation: 5,380 ft to 9,350 ft

       Distance: 11 km/7 miles

       Hiking Time: 5-7 hours

       Habitat: Rain Forest

 

Day3- 3/7:

       Machame Camp to Shira Cave

       Elevation: 9,350 ft to 12,500 ft

       Distance: 5 km/3 miles

       Hiking Time: 4-6 hours

       Habitat: Heath

 

Day4- 4/7:

       Shira Cave to Lava Tower down to Barranco Camp

       Elevation: 12,500 ft to 15,190 ft down 13044ft

       Distance: 10 km/6 miles

       Hiking Time: 6-7 hours

       Habitat: Alpine Desert

 

Day5- 5/7:

        Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

        Elevation: 13,044 ft to 13,106 ft

        Distance: 5 km/3 miles

        Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

        Habitat: Alpine Desert

 

Day6- 6/7:

       Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

       Elevation: 13,106 ft to 15,331 ft

       Distance: 4 km/2 miles

       Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

       Habitat: Alpine Desert

       Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak descent to Mweka Camp

       Elevation: 15,331 ft to 19,341 ft descent to 10065ft

       Distance: 18 km/10 miles

       Hiking Time: 13-14 hours

        Habitat: Arctic

 

​​​​​​​Day8- 8/7:

       Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

       Elevation: 10,065 ft to 5,380 ft

       Distance: 10 km/6 miles

       Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

        Habitat: Rain Forest

 

​​​​​​​Day9- 9/7:

       Travel Back home.

 

Special Instructions

Important Dates:

  1. Airport Arrival and overnight in a hotel: 1/7/2024.
  2. Checking all the gears and equipment’s before starting the adventure: 2/7/20224
  3. Completion of the adventure and overnight stay in a hotel: 8/7/2024.
  4. Return to Muscat: 9/7/2024.

Necessary Equipment and Clothing for The Adventure:

       Any equipment not available can be rented from the village of Arusha before setting off for the first camp , the adventure leader will check all your gears before we start the adventure and make sure you have all what you need before we start the journey.

Trip Details

Bring with you:
  • Good level fitness and mental endurance, a training program will be shared for participants after registration
  • International airline tickets (it is possible to book at a competitive price if the reservation is made through Wadi Adventure)
  • All travel test requirements such as PCR & insurance
  • All the clothes and personal tools necessary for climbing the mountain. It is possible to rent all the equipment before we move to the first camp, all renting prices & equipment’s details shown at the end of the brochure

All internal transportations are included with internal flights (Dar El Salam to Kiliy) 2 ways.

  • Accommodation:
  1. Two nights on a hotel
  2. The rest of the days camping in the mountain.
