Al Funnel Cave

About the trip

Caves

We start the adventure with a short hike to the entrance of the Funnel Cave. The first abseil is 27 meters and after that the real adventure begins. The challenge of abseiling 170 meters inside a funnel and to reach the end of it you will need to traverse from one rope to another. Then we continue inside the cave with short abseils of 3 to 7 meters long. 

We will need to crawl in small cavities and swim in cold water until we join route with Tahri Cave route. There we have the final 20 meter drop then hike out of Tahri Cave back to the cars.

Important Notice: The dirt road from Fins to the cave is very mountainous and uneven, the drive is about 1.5 hrs.

Important Notice: We will have a physical assessment before the adventure in Muscat on how to traverse between ropes and measure your fitness level.
